eco friendly bathroom design
PROJECT: Eco Friendly Bathroom Design
CLIENT: Private Residence
BRIEF: The brief was to design a master bathroom for a Victorian house, the room is compact and additional to the ensuite shower rooms.
Traditional Brass fittings
The bath and shower area, the traditional fittings connect the contemporary to the reclaimed.
The room is compact, whilst the client wanted a bath, she was happy to compromise on size to allow a wc to be installed, as previously the bathroom did not have one.
The elevations detail the East and West facing walls.
North facing elevation
The reclaimed Victorian sink was the original basin in the house originally sited on the lower ground floor alongside the Burlington bell cistern.
Bath And Shower Area
Brass fittings were chosen to match the original basin taps, brass trims contrast with the green tiles.
Burlington Bell Cistern
Restored to its former glory the Burlington Bell high level cistern works perfectly despite its age.
The beautiful Botanica tiles have a high recycled content.
The brass rim lock was cleaned and reused, a stunning brass and ebony toilet pull complete with original brass chain was sourced. The door stop was another antique find, continuing the brass detailing.
